Spanish to me is everything, it is a part of who I am and basically what makes me, me. Spanish allows me to connect with my family and others around me whether it be visitors at our school coming from Mexico, Spain, or Portugal. Learning or knowing another language is super important or well I at least think it is because it gives you such an advantage and a huge vocabulary, it also allows you connect with many many different people. There are so many amazing topics to talk about that we never really get to learn from the Spanish speaking communities, I learned about the Mexican independence a lot and i'd love to learn a lot more about it as well as why we call the language "Spanish" and not Castellano. Something I am most excited about this year is getting to share a part of me with all of my classmates and being able to share something that I've learned and practiced my entire life.
